Thai Asian Sky Airways: News Update
October, 1994
Thai Airways International, Thailand's flag carrier, has launch the operation from Bangkok International Airport to Asia destinations.
THAI starts inaugural flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong with narrow body single-aisle jet aircraft, Boeing 737-300 carried 134 Passengers.
Thai Airways International aircraft with new livery.
THAI also expands its, Thai's traditional courtesy in the name of "Royal Orchid Service" to these cities in Asia ;including, Singapore, Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Kunming, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and its newly operate route from Bangkok to Tokyo-Haneda.
THAI has connected passengers from Asia to the beautiful tourist attraction, the Pearl of Andaman, Phuket.
Phuket is one of the most beautiful tourist attraction in South East Asia as local people are full of generosity and service-minded and all the tourist will definitely have the great happiness moment in Thailand.

OCTOBER 19, 1994 - THAI has signed with French manufacturer, Avions de Transport RĂ©gional for 2 of ATR 72-200. They will be delivered from Toulouse-Blognac to our base in Bangkok within November 1994.

Thai Airways International has announced that the airline has signed contract with British manufacturer, British Aerospace for 2 of BAe ATP equipped with PW127A turbo-prop engines.
This order includes an option to re-contract the order and engine type.
British Aerospace will deliver the aircraft to Bangkok International Airport within November 20, 1994 onwards.
THAI Chairman said that this aircraft will be operate on regional routes in South East Asia and will be replace Beriev Be-32KM which the airline had recently bought from Air Canada.

New Aircraft Arrival
Thai Airways International has announced that two of new, French-made propellers aircraft, ATR 72-200 have arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, as they contains 74 of passenger seats and 1657 nautical miles of range.
This two aircraft are registered as HS-AAD named "SRINAPA" and HS-AAE named "NAPACHINDA".
One of them is painted in THAI old livery.
These new propellers aircraft will be operate on regional routes ;including, Haikou, Sanya, Mandalay, Yangon, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila and Taipei.
THAI also expand the contract options for acquiring other two of this aircraft.

So we are looking forward to expand our service into many destinations." said Thai Airways International CEO, Vincénte Eryl Izumi

Thai Airways International announced that the third and fourth French-manufacturer turbo-props aircraft, ATR72-201 have arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and are now entry to service.

THAI has placed the order of two Fokker 100 aircraft via brokerage service.
"We have now ordered 6 new aircraft ;namely, 2 of Fokker 100, 2 of BAe 146-300 and another 2 of BAe ATP.
These aircraft will boost the daily passenger of the airline." said Thai Airways International, Chief Executive Officer.
One of new Fokker 100 will be painted in Special Livery to celebrate STAR ALLIANCE anniversary.
THAI also proudly announced that the construction of new Operation Center (OPC) at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport has finished.
The operation center will help the airline to cut cost of leasing private building for Flight Crew and Cabin Crew briefing.
This newly-built center will be use as Service Center and Front-line Customer Service Center.

THAI ASIAN fleets are consisted of 4 French-concerns, ATR 72-200, 3 of Single-Aisle Jet Aircraft from American-manufacturer, Boeing 737-300, 2 of British Aerospace jet aircraft, BAe 146-300, 5 of British-supplier turbo-props aircraft, BAe ATP and 2 of Fokker Industries, Fokker 100.

As of November 1995, Thai Asian Sky Airways has surpassed its competitor to 9th of 18 airlines.
Its fleet consist of 43 aircraft in which 8 on orders.
Fleet Update:
Thai Asian Sky have become Asian First all-jet operated airline (from Main Hub) at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Bangkok Hub is operated by Fleet of Boeing, Fokker Aerospace, British Aerospace System, McDonnell Douglas and Tupolev Design Bureau.
