Ok here is how airline awards will work! Every year in May I will start new threads here that will stay open till the beginning of August in game! That's three real days. In which time airlines may apply for the awards they wish to win.

About the Awards

Widely regarded as the industry’s pre-eminent event, the Awards recognize the most highly respected and innovative airlines, based on the votes in various categories.

The fundementals of the awards stay true to the ideals of professional travelers, who have a right to expect operational efficiency and polished service. Add to that hassle-free travel and the ability to deliver the promises made by the marketing and advertising departments, and the awards hope to be a spur for airlines not simply to maintain standards, but to improve them.

For the winners, these Awards will be public affirmation of the product and service they offer, representing the views of their most important customers – the frequent traveler. They are highly regarded by airlines and airports alike, and used widely in marketing and promotional plans which, in the current climate, is more important than ever.

Airline Awards - Rules and Regulations

- All active airlines and alliances will be allowed to participate in any category
- The voting and judging will be done in a public, fair manner
- Should a dispute arise, the matter should be resolved ASAP or the award will be handed to runner-up
- Submission will be open for three(3) days only (Real time). No exceptions!
- Once submission closed, voting will open immediately and will remain open for another two days(2) (Real time)
- A voting airline will be allowed to vote ONLY ONCE in an open category!
- All awards will be awarded ONCE a year.

Submission Procedure

- When a category is opened for submission, it will be announced on the forum. Instructions on how to submit will accompany the announcement. PLEASE FOLLOW ACCORDINGLY!
- There will be no restriction/standard format for submission. Each airline will be able to use their own initiative and discretion.
- Airlines submitting, needs to submit a forum post to enter the category.
- Airlines may ONLY ENTER ONCE in an open category. NO POST EDITS after it's been submitted, so please ensure all information has been included before submitting.
- Timeline: Submission opens (3 days to submit an entry), Submission closes and voting opens (48 hours from closing), Voting closes and finalists will be generated and published (24 hours from closing), finalist voting will open for another 24 hours after which the category will be closed, votes will be counted and the winner will be announced.
- There will be not submission limit, i.e one post per airline, unlimited number of airlines. Once the category has closed, 3 finalists will be chosen. After voting opened for the second time, 1 winner will be chosen.

Voting Procedure

Even though this is just a game, please respect the rules and regulations and be HONEST!

- All airlines, not participating in the category, will be allowed to vote ONCE for any of the finalists.
- No finalist airline will be allowed to vote! If an airline chooses to ignore this rule, they will be disqualified from the category. Should this violation be repeated, the airline may face a life time disqualification from all Airline Awards and could face being deleted from PW#1075!
- Voting is not a writing contest, so all votes should only contain the airline name you are voting for.
- Voting will be done on the forum. Voting text will only contain the name of the airline, no other text or smilies please!
- Voting may only start once submission has closed

Prizes

- The winner of each category will be awarded with an 'award', which can be utilised for a forum signature.
- The winner of each category will receive one free aircraft, that will be determined depending on the in game situations.

- Airline of the Year
- Cabin Staff & Services of the Year
- Airport Services of the Year
- Airline Alliance of the Year(Alliance founder/owner entries only! Judging/voting will be a different procedure!)

Basically anyone has 3 days to apply for any of the awards! Once the three days is up voting will begin. If you were entered in a category you are not allowed to vote. The winner will be chosen by the airlines that did not apply for that category. Once voting is closed the winner will be announced in public and will receive their prize. For the alliance award, the owner of the alliance must submit their entry, and then anyone can vote in that category.
